One of the most common reasons the Drainsmart team is called to a property is for drain repairs in London, including unblocking a drain.
Blocked drain clearance is one of the drainage services we provide and we know how important it can be to fix this quickly and efficiently for our customers. This is why you can book a blockage clearance and pay per hour in order to get the job done by experienced drainage professionals.

How much does blocked drain clearance cost?
Our blockage clearance starts from just £135 plus VAT for the first hour. This allows for high-pressure water jetting which is often required to clear a blocked drain. Should your drains require longer, we change just £90 plus VAT per hour after the first hour.

Can I get my drains unblocked during the current lockdown in the UK?
Yes. Sewage workers are classed as key workers, as the services we provide are essential to maintaining hygienic environments at home and in the workplace. If you are experiencing blocked drains in London or the surrounding areas such as Beckenham, Bromley, Croydon, Orpington, Kent, Surrey etc, it is best to get them looked at sooner rather than later because the problem will only get worse.

How do I know if my drains are blocked?
Usually, there are clear signs in and around the property, such as toilets backing up when you flush them or water draining away slowly. If you notice any of these within your property, we highly recommend booking a visual drainage inspection which may be able to locate and highlight the problem, however, this is not always the case.
What are the risks if I don’t get my drains unblocked?
If your property is experiencing blocked drainage, the risks to the property and to the health of the inhabitants could be very serious. Especially if the sewage is pouring into the property, which poses a hazard to anyone within.
Can I perform drain repairs myself?
It may be possible, especially if the blockage is located early on in the drain. However, some DIY solutions may not work and could, in fact, make the problem worse. Instances of damaged pipes are common and this could lead to a more expensive solution being needed further down the line.
